The El Dorado County Lower Shakori Garage project in Meyers, CA (South Lake Tahoe) replaces an aging Transportation Department facility that had become structurally unsound and functionally obsolete after decades of heavy snow seasons.
The new 8,790-sf facility features 12 bays designed to accommodate snow removal and road maintenance equipment, a repair shop, sand storage, a brine-making bay, and space for ancillary equipment. Situated on a gently sloping site, the split-level, pre-engineered metal building rests on split-face masonry pony walls and includes a 630-sf mezzanine above the upper bays.
