The Acquisition of the Healthcare Market Leader Futhers PMSM’s Expansion Strategy.

December 7, 2015 – PMSM Architects has completed the acquisition of DJW Architects, an award-winning healthcare architectural design firm based in Templeton, CA.  The acquisition strengthens PMSM’s current healthcare design studio and expands the firm’s geographic reach into Orange County and Napa Valley.

“The acquisition of DJW Architects is a natural fit for PMSM.  They are a strong market leader in the healthcare arena and bring well-known healthcare clients to PMSM’s roster,” said Monisha Adnani, Associate Principal of PMSM Architects.

DJW’s work encompasses both large- and small-scale healthcare projects on the Central Coast and throughout California consisting of hospitals, surgery centers, medical office buildings, skilled nursing facilities and laboratories.  Among DJW’s notable clients are Dignity Health, Twin Cities Community Hospital, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, Queen of the Valley Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital.

Deborah Woodle, AIA, DJW Architects, said “We are thrilled to align ourselves with PMSM,” said Woodle.  “It is exciting to be in a position of enhancing our services and healthcare market impact while affording our combined staff the opportunity to grow professionally”.  Woodle is a registered architect in California and brings 25 years of experience working with some of the largest non-profit healthcare providers in California.

“DJW’s talented employees share our commitment to design excellence and to projects that enrich the community,” said Alan Kroeker, President of PMSM Architects.  “We have known Principal Architect Deborah Woodle and this firm for many years, and have always been impressed with their portfolio of healthcare work.  We are excited to welcome DJW into PMSM’s family.”

“This is a great match”, said Rosa Alvarado, PMSM’s Healthcare Design Studio Director.  “By leveraging DJW’s capabilities with those of our healthcare studio within PMSM, we are creating a strong leadership position in high end healthcare design and architecture in Santa Barbara and throughout the State”.

Deborah Woodle will be joining Rosa Alvarado as a Healthcare Market Sector Leader for PMSM Architects.  In coming together, Deborah and Rosa along with supporting staff will create a robust healthcare design studio and will continue to provide clients with design solutions that will meet specific needs, budget, and schedule in order to improve the quality of life for patients, residents, families, and staff.
