Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services relocated the majority of its programs and staff to this repurposed facility, the former Merced County Hospital, which had been vacant for many years.
BH&RS now occupies both the two and three-story portions of the facility, providing 95,000 SF of Consumer Programs, a Wellness Center, Administrative Services, Conferencing Center and Crisis Stabilization Residential services.
A primary goal of the project was to change the image of the sterile hospital environment to a bright, warm and welcoming place.
